But I would say the best ones for working out, and probably my favorite Beats, are the Beats Powerbeats3. Now, these haven’t been updated for, I think, two years now, but they’re still some of the best workout headphones. In fact, I did a review about the best headphones for the gym, and these were on it because they’re so secure, they’re so universally comfortable, and they just check a lot of boxes such that it’s an easy recommendation for people out there.
So if you want workout headphones, and you want from the Beats brand, the Powerbeats3 are the ones to get. Comfortable, secure fit, they come with multiple size ear tips, they have fast fuel charging, they’re water and sweat resistant, they have a really good bluetooth range and stability. It’s about 150 feet before you encounter disruptions or anything like that, and they also have over 12 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Now, let’s talk about the best everyday headphones from Beats, and this is a pretty simple choice. They’re the BeatsX Wireless. These are some of the best around the neck headphones that you can buy. I really like them for a number of different reasons.
A, they’re comfortable. B, they have great battery life. C, they use a lightening charging cable, which is pretty cool. You can use the charging cable from your iPhone to charge these bad boys. They have about like, I think it’s like eight hours of battery life, if not maybe a little bit more.
The Bluetooth range is about 100 feet. They have good sound isolation. They’re not going to actively tune out the noise around you, but they kind of seal off your ear canal well such that you can’t hear the surroundings around you. They’re great for phone calls because the mike kind of hangs closer to your mouth, the mike and the remote, so that way, you can easily access the buttons, and also, when somebody talks to you, they can get a really crisp sound because it’s closer to your mouth. So if you’re looking for headphones from Beats that you can wear throughout the day, kind of dangle around, and then they just magnet together, these are some of the best ones you can get. In fact, our buddy, James, who runs a limo company, these are the headphones that he used every single day, and they have a fast fuel charging feature, five minutes gets you about two hours.

Now, we have the best on-ear headphones. Now, these aren’t my favorite Beats headphones, but there are some people that appreciate the on ear fit. To me, they tend to fatigue my ears a little bit too quickly, but I’m going to go with the Solo3’s. I think that’s a natural pick. They have incredible battery life. In fact, when we first did our battery life test with these headphones, they went over 48 hours on a single charge. They were so good in terms of battery life, that they overheated my iPad and I had to turn it off before the battery life ended on the headphones, so great battery life.
Incredible Bluetooth connection and stability, so they can go about a 100 yards without any interruptions to that signal — some of the best Bluetooth stability I’ve seen on headphones out there. As far as the sound quality goes, they’re still Beats headphones. They’re pretty good, a little bit bass-heavy, but they’re nothing to write home about. I think most consumers will be fine with the battery life, though. Yes, they work with your iCloud account, and yes, they have a quick charge feature. Five minutes equals three hours. Look, if you want on-ear headphones, you want Beats headphones, the Solo3’s are the way to go.

But if you want over-ear headphones, you’ve got to check out the Studio3. I think these are perhaps the best all-around headphones that Beats makes. I said these are best for travel, but really, if I could only pick one, I would probably go with these guys. Yes, they’re not as portable as the Beats X. Yes, they’re not as workout friendly as the Powerbeats, but I like that they have active noise cancellation. I found the audio quality to be the best on these.
They have pretty dang good Bluetooth range and stability, fantastic battery life. They work with your iCloud account, they have a fast charge feature, and you can usually find them for under the MSRP of $350.
Conclusion
If you’re open to over ear headphones, the Studio3’s are the ones to get.
Again, if you want workout ones, got to go Powerbeats. You want every day carries; you want them to be a little bit more portable, go BeatsX. If you want on the ear headphones, Solo3’s. Studio3’s though, a lot of people are sleeping on these headphones. I think they’re pretty good. I don’t know if they’re knock the Bose QC 35’s or some of the Sony’s, active noise-canceling headphones, but I think they’re the best headphones, that Beats makes.
